Dunlevy is a supportive housing project for Atira Women’s Society, located in Vancouver’s downtown East-side. We are working in collaboration with Uegama Architecture to create 65 new units of housing for women experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

A feasability study for CMHC Rapid Housing Initiative and Spuzzum First Nation.

We are desiging a new grain testing facility with offices and locker rooms at Vancouver’s port.

CMHA in Vernon, BC, has engaged us to expand their youth support facilities.

The conversion of a 90 year-old house in Vancouver into a 3 dwelling unit. Our design intent is to retain the original character of the home, while creating beautiful and functional spaces for 3 separate tenants.

Conversion of a once house turned office building into a women’s shelter in Duncan, BC. This space includes 23+ beds for women at risk, 2 kitchens, shared bathrooms, lounge, and office spaces. Info on CWAV Society can be found here.

Colourful and inviting townhomes in Kelowna, BC. A colour for each home gives a sense of identity and ownership to each resident while brightening up the block. See more.

This project involves repurposing temporary housing modules from another site in BC into permanent supportive housing for individuals at risk of homelessness in Powell River, BC. We are designing 38 units, 8 of which are accessible, shared washrooms, kitchens, and amenity spaces, as well as an on-site clinic. 

A custom home for clients in Sooke on Vancouver Island, this house features expansive views, a garage made for hosting while working on cars and bikes, and a sprinkling of Starwars inspired details.

A small group home in Victoria, BC, for teens with high mobility needs and their care workers. This project involved the renovation of an existing house to suite the specific accessibility needs of the residents.

Minor renovation of a well-loved community centre in Duncan, BC. Uses include: HUB Café, Clay Studio, Woodworking shop, outdoor performance space and seating, and historical display and archives

This project is all about process. We collaborated early on with Coast Salish Consultant, Cory Douglas, and Landscape Architects at Prospect & Refuge to design a supportive housing project that integrates first nation art and culture, and a well-considered landscape design to enhance the lives of the residents. Leading with this collaboration has resulted in a project where these perspectives are thoroughly woven into the project, rather than applied as a thin layer at the end.

This ‘50 beds for 50 years’ feasibility study is for low-rise supportive housing for up to 80 Residents. Special consideration given to Trauma Informed Design principles.

A new helicoptor hangar for Sierra Helicoptors in Pitt Meadows, BC. The hangar includes space for helicoptor maintenance and repairs, as well as office and storage space and an accessible washroom. In collaboration with Uegama Architecture.

This luxury home project consists of a major renovation and addition to the existing 4,500 sq.ft. main house. It is an exercise in blending the old and the new, as this house is full of family heritage—it was originally designed by Architect Bud Wood and built by the owner’s grandfather. See more.

You read that right—when Johnny Tornado called us to update the Slocan City Hotel, we answered. This space needed some minor renovations, and now acts as a community entertainment hub; it features live music, dancing, historic hotel rooms upstairs, and a guitar shop in the basement. It is a well-loved gathering space for the community of Slocan City, BC.

RHA worked with the Turning Points Society of Vernon and BC Housing to develop 54 units of housing and amenity spaces for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Vernon, BC. See more.

This 61-unit supportive housing project in Surrey, BC, is part concrete construction and part permanent wood frame modular construction. The facade features varrying textures and shades of green, and the residents enjoy views and proximity to a local park. See more.

Designed for a growing family in Kelowna, this luxury home project consists of a major renovation and addition to the 4,000 sq. ft. main house, as well as the construction of a 2,500 sq. ft. out-building, which offers workout, trophy, workshop spaces, and sheltered parking for the family Airstream. The Valley is a digitally fabricated sculpture that consists of 200 individually cut cross sections of Okanagan Valley topography, installed above Ellis Street and the Library Parkade Plaza in Kelowna, BC. In collaboration with Michael Fugeta. See more.

This wood-frame modular building provides over 40 permanent homes for people at risk of homelessness. The timeline for the project from design through to occupancy was compressed into about 15 months.
