Kamloops Foundry Youth Centre

The Kamloops Foundry project is a youth centre which provides services and activities for local teens and their families. This renovated space is located at 540 Seymour Street in Kamloops, BC. RHA worked in close collaboration with the staff at Interior Community Services and Foundry as well as their Youth Advisory Committee to create a space that reflects the values and goals
of the user group and the community. This project had a focus on engagement, which included three sessions with the youth where we gathered feedback and ideas on the architecture and interior design of the space, ensuring that their ideas and values are represented in the space.

With a focus on being welcoming, calming, fun, and rooted in the community, the Kamloops Foundry features a playful colour pallette inspired the local landscape and wildlife, rich textures, and interconnected spaces to support the needs of the Foundry.
