Our design intent with this project is to update a one-hundred year old house while retaining a traditional form.  A new balcony, staircase, and garage make this home more functional. The existing stucco siding material is to be replaced with horizontal siding at the basement and vertical board and batton siding above, adding texture and variety to the facade. The overall impact on the site and neighbors should be an increase in daylighting by removing deck gaurd rails, the reduction of rain water being shed off the site by impermeable surfaces, and the respectful rejuventaion of an aging character property.
